Somethings Worth Noting ... so start noting ...

Note 1: The home page of the website that I post my music on has a list of "Top 20 Most Listened to Artists", and it had been a small goal of mine to make that list. WELL, tonight I checked and I'm sitting pretty at #20! Check it out! http://www.soundsauce.net/ . Christmas

No new song today because I've been sick all week, besides it's Christmas! I may post a new song sometime later this week. I'll be heading back to school pretty soon and I plan on working on writing new material when I'm there, I have some ideas.

Hope every ones Christmas is awesome! I've already begun my collection of Long and Mcquade gift cards, and I'm not complaining!

Place to be (Nick Drake Cover)

I'm sick! just in time for the holiday's ... yaaaaaaa!

I've been working on a holiday song, and I was going to work on it today but I woke up with a KILLER sore throat, but yesterday when I was setting up my mic's I recorded a cover of a Nick Drake song that I really like and learned to play the day before. The recording is ohkay enough to post as my Sunday song. 1 week until Christmas and I'm hoping to have my holiday song posted before then.

The Something Missing

New song!

This was a busy weekend, but I still managed to record a new song. I think I'm getting better at recording, but there are things in this song that I'm not a huge fan of. ... I find recording vocals is difficult. The day I record them they sound fine, maybe even good, but then the next few days I think they sound really bad ... and a few months later I think they sound good again. ... I'm thinking that this has to do with recording my own voice and music ... it's really hard to know if things are sounding good or not, I can just tell if they sound how I want them too.

Any feedback is great, I'm adding this song to the 4 on my Myspace page, I'm not sure what song I should put as #1 [1], ... right now it's "Hope for the Unemployed", but I might change that.


[1]: The #1 song is the first song that plays when someone views my Myspace page, and will get the most listened too, so I want it to be one that I feel represents me the best.

This Charming Man (The Smiths Cover)

New song! So far it seems like new songs get posted every Sunday, I'm not doing it on purpose i just get time to record on Saturdays and a bit on Sundays. So the new song is a cover of an old The Smiths song called This Charming Man, that I really like. This was just a for fun song, I learned it and modified it for acoustic on Saturday and recorded it today. The only thing I regret in the song, other than a few missed notes :S, is the fact that it doesn't sound so much like me, like the guitar work is my style but the singing, in my opinion, comes off sounding very much like The Smiths. Oh well it's fun.
